24/09/2025: Shire of Moora Extension of Unrestricted Burning

Pursuant to Section 18 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, the Shire of Moora advises that the Restricted Burning Time will be amended due to seasonal conditions.

 

Please note the following important details:

  • Unrestricted Burning will continue until 3 October 2025.
  • Permits to Burn will not be required until 4 October 2025.
  • Large burns must be registered with DFES Communications on (08) 9395 9210.

 

We strongly encourage the adoption of safe fire practices when conducting burns, including:

  • Considering smoke impacts on roads and nearby properties, and
  • Ensuring the provision of appropriate fire units for the size and nature of the burn.
