All burning is prohibited during this period
1st March - 29th March (inclusive)

RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD

Permit to burn is required during this period
30th March - 18th September* (inclusive)

UNRESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD

03/03/2026: Shire of Moora Extension of Prohibited Burning

Pursuant to Section 17 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, the Shire of Moora advises that the Prohibited Burning Time will be amended due to seasonal conditions.

 

Please note the following important details:

  • Prohibited Burning will continue until 7 April 2026.
  • Permits to Burn will not be issued.
  • All other fire restrictions remain in place. 
  • Ensure you check with adjoining Shires for their prohibited burning period extensions. 
  • The Shire has the Authority to extend the Prohibited Burning period beyond the 7 April 2026.
