The Shire of Moora Caravan and Chalet Park can be found nestled amongst Salmon Gums on the banks of the Moore River, just a 400m walk from the town centre. It provides a perfect base for those wanting to explore this spectacular region.

It features:

  • FREE laundry to park guests
  • Dogs welcome (on leash, not in chalets)
  • Camp kitchen and BBQ
  • Grassed tent area
  • Dump Point - located in the Roberts Street car park opposite the IGA (near the swimming pool)

The Caravan Park is located opposite Moora IGA, adjacent to the Moora swimming pool and Apex Park. The entrance to the park is off Dandaragan Street, in Moora, approx. 100m West of the intersection of Dandaragan and Roberts Streets.

Guests may stay at the Caravan Park for a maximum of three (3) months in total (accrued) within any twelve (12) month period. Any request to extend a stay beyond three (3) months requires the prior written approval of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Payment Policy Update – Shire of Moora

Please note that the Shire of Moora no longer accepts virtual cards, chargebacks, or AMEX as valid payment methods. These options have repeatedly caused issues with unauthorised or misallocated payments.

All bookings must now be paid using a valid physical Visa or Mastercard. Direct bank transfers are not accepted, as payment is required at the time of booking.

Bookings made through our website using virtual cards, chargebacks, or AMEX will only be accepted if funds are successfully received. However, any amendments or extensions to these bookings must be paid for using an accepted physical card.

The Shire of Moora holds no liability for any issues related to past, present, or future bookings paid with the restricted payment methods.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

RV Parking & Dump Point (Day Use Areas Only)

Parking is available for smaller rigs next to the Moora Community Resource and Visitors Centre, and in the Roberts Street car park opposite the IGA (near the swimming pool), where there is also a dump point. A second dump point is located at the rear of Moora Performing Arts Centre at 32 Padbury Street. 

RV Short Stays

We wish to advise that the RV Short-Term Stay area is open in the car park to the east side of Padbury Street between the Moora CRC and Clinch Street. 

Limit of Stay
Guests may stay for a maximum of 48 hours within any 21 day period. This ensures the site remains available for all travellers to enjoy.

IMPORTANT

  • ALL VEHICLES are required to be fully self-sufficient
  • Must be able to provide own water
  • Must have own toilet facilities (no composting toilets)
  • Must be able to capture grey water in the vehicle (no external buckets)
  • Must have internal kitchen facilities
  • STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL
  • STRICTLY NO FIRES
  • DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES, OR TETHERED ON LEASH <2M
  • NO GENERATORS, VEHICLES MUST HAVE OWN POWER
  • FURNITURE/EQUIPMENT NOT TO BE SPREAD OUT OUTSIDE OF VEHICLE
  • LIMITED SITES, SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY ON ARRIVAL

Please respect the guidance of our Shire Ranger, whose decision will be final. If asked to vacate your site, we kindly request that you do so promptly to ensure the area remains welcoming and available for all visitors.

Miling Caravan Sites

Located at the Miling Sports Reserve, this rest area includes power, toilets (including disabled access) and shower facilities. The cost is $25/night.

Watheroo Tavern Caravan Sites

Located next to the Watheroo Station tavern, situated 37kms north of Moora along the Midlands Road. This fabulous rest area is situated amongst the trees and includes amenities such as power, toilets and shower facilities. Enjoy the use of the BBQ area located opposite the sites or take a walk next door to the tavern to enjoy a meal.
