The Shire extends its condolences to Kaye and the Lewis family on the passing of Frank, a family man, business owner and stalwart of the Moora community, on 23 January.
Mr Lewis was elected to the Shire Council in May 1980, and served as Deputy President in 1984 and 1985, President from 1985 to 1992, and as a Councillor until he retired from Council in 1995.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to Moora, and as a lasting symbol of appreciation of the service and wise counsel provided, Frank was granted the title Honorary Freeman of the Shire of Moora on 15 August 2012, one of only nine members of the community bestowed the honour.
The flags at the Shire Administration will be flown at half-mast on the day of his funeral.
On behalf of Council and all Shire staff, we offer our condolences at the passing of a man who dedicated his life to serving his local community.
Rest in Peace Frank.
