The Shire of Moora is thrilled to have been awarded $210,000 over three years in funding from the State Government’s Regional Arts Venues Support program (RAVS).
This generous grant is part of the ongoing commitment by the WA Government to support and enhance regional performing arts.
Shire of Moora Events Coordinator, Natalie Maloy expressed immense gratitude for the funding.
"This support from the State Government is invaluable and will allow us to introduce an expanded annual Performing Arts Program over the next three years (2024-2027). This will enhance our offering of diverse artistic, cultural and entertainment events for our community, provide extensive community engagement opportunities, support and develop local artists and establish the Moora Performing Arts Centre (MPAC) as a drawcard for regional tourism. In short, we can put Moora on the map as the place to go if you want to see regular high quality performing arts in the region," she said.
The grant will be used to host a minimum of 12 performances annually.
This funding boost follows the MPAC's recent return as a key player in the regional arts scene.
