Moora Sports and Recreation Complex - Fly Around Video

Recent community meetings regarding the Moora Sport and Recreation Complex Concept Plan have been a successful vehicle for local clubs to ask questions and provide feedback to the Shire, as it prepares to apply for the appropriate grant funding.

The project will be divided into several stages that reflect the priority needs of a range of sporting clubs and the state of their respective infrastructure.

Stage 1 of the project is currently addressing:

  • The redevelopment of the existing hockey building to accommodate the needs of other sports – Netball, Hockey, Basketball, Tennis and Darts.
  • New oval changerooms.
  • An updated public toilet block.
  • A new playground.
  • Extended parking.
  • Emergency access.

To ensure the needs and ideas of these groups are successfully accommodated, we have created several sub-committees that will use their knowledge and skill to focus on discrete elements of the complex and its design. The success of this project depends on the full commitment of the community and advice provided by the sub-committee members.
