It’s that time of year again—when the excitement, creativity and community spirit of Moora come together for the Moora Bed Race & Street Festival 2025! This beloved community event is back, bigger and brighter, with a powerful purpose behind it.
This year, the funds raised will support our local community in a new and meaningful way. In the past, the event proudly funded the YouthCARE Chaplains in local schools. In 2025, we turn our focus to caring for our older residents by helping to purchase a much-needed backup generator for the Moora Frail Aged Lodge.
Moora has experienced several long power outages this year—leaving the Lodge residents without lights, heating or cooling, and without the ability to use their mobile phones to contact family or essential services. The generator at the Moora Hospital is not strong enough to support the hospital and the Lodge, meaning a dedicated generator is urgently needed, especially before the summer heat arrives.
Your involvement—whether racing, cheering, donating or taking part as a stall holder—will help provide this vital safety and comfort for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
