KIDS WRITING WORKSHOP – CREATE YOUR OWN MYSTERY

Got a young writer who loves a good whodunnit? This one’s for them.

Join award-winning author Kate Emery for an interactive workshop where kids will learn how to create their own murder mystery — from building a great detective to planting clues (and a few red herrings along the way).

📅 Tuesday 15 April, 10am-12pm
👤 Ages 12+
@ Ballet room at Moora Rec Centre

Drawing inspiration from classics through to modern hits like A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, this session walks participants through the evolution of the genre — then helps them write their own story.

✏️ Bring along a notebook or writing paper

Kate is the author of The Not So Chosen One, My Family and Other Suspects and A Murder is Going Down, with multiple national awards under her belt — so you’re learning from the best.
