The Shire of Moora is proud to announce a new three-year partnership with TSH – Teach, Speak, Hear (formerly Telethon Speech & Hearing), designed to bring vital health services to children in our community.
Under the Moora Brighter Futures Pathway, eligible Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children living in Moora and surrounding areas will have access to free audiology, speech pathology, and occupational therapy services. These services are delivered by TSH and made possible through the Shire’s commitment to community health and wellbeing.
This initiative is centred on early intervention, equitable access, and culturally responsive care, ensuring that children can receive support where they live, learn and grow — at home, in school, and within their community. The program helps overcome common regional barriers to accessing specialist services, supporting children to thrive from their earliest years.
“This partnership between the Shire of Moora and TSH is a milestone in our shared journey towards ensuring equitable access to critical early childhood health services,” said Tracy Lefroy, Shire President of Moora. “Investing in our youngest community members creates generational benefits — strengthening families and building a brighter, healthier future for the Wheatbelt region and beyond.”
TSH CEO Carole Steketee also acknowledged the importance of collaboration in regional health care delivery:
“Our partnership with the Shire of Moora represents a shared commitment to improving health and education outcomes for children in rural WA. By working together, we can remove barriers and deliver high-quality allied health services directly to those who need them most.”
Together, the Shire of Moora and TSH are proud to support brighter futures for our children — ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential, right here in the heart of our community.
