The community is advised that a corella control program will be undertaken in Watheroo on Sunday 15th February, organised by the CBH Group, in partnership with VACCA.
The activity forms part of an approved pest management program in response to the significant damage corellas cause to infrastructure, native vegetation and community assets in the area.
The Shire acknowledges that the culling of wildlife can be distressing for some people. These measures are considered a last resort and are undertaken to protect the broader environment and reduce pest corella populations to levels considered ecologically sustainable.

Local Police have been advised, and all required safety measures will be in place. The contractor undertaking the works holds the appropriate licences and will operate in accordance with approvals issued by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
