Swim School Coordinator

The Shire of Moora is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Swim School Coordinator to join our team. This part time position will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day management, programming, and technical operation of our Swim School program, ensuring each visitor’s experience is streamlined, enjoyable and importantly, safe.
Essential Criteria
- One or more of the following qualifications of:
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (TWS) accreditation
- Royal Life Saving WA Swim Teacher accreditation
- SWIM Coaches and Teachers Australia Swim Australia™ Teacher (SAT) qualification
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate HLTAID011 or equivalent recognized CPR qualification
- Working knowledge of the aquatic industry, including swim teaching and safe work practices
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work without supervision
- Strong team and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated operational financial management skills
- Available for a minimum of 10 hours per week
Desirable Criteria
- Current Australian C class driver’s license
- Basic knowledge of Council operations
- Sound marketing, programming, and promotional skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Employment is contingent upon:
- Provision of a current satisfactory National Police Clearance
- Pre-Employment Medical Assessment including Drug & Alcohol Testing
