Infrastructure Services Operator – Full-time
The Shire of Moora is seeking a highly motivated full-time employee to join our Infrastructure Services Team. The successful candidate will be involved in the daily operations of maintaining the Shire Wastewater Scheme and will have the opportunity to participate in a nationally recognised training pathway to complete a Certificate II, III and IV in the water industry. Duties include:
- Maintaining work standards as a collaborative member of the Infrastructure Services team.
- Operating and maintaining the Shires Water & Wastewater Scheme.
- Executing tasks delegated by the Wastewater Services Supervisor.
- Working flexibly in dealing with a variety of manual handling tasks, with a vigilant focus on Workplace Health & Safety.
- Carrying out safe operation and maintenance of various plants.
Essential:
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Willingness to participate in training and development programs.
- Developed team and interpersonal skills.
- Safe operation and user maintenance of plants.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand plans.
- Availability for On-Call based rosters for weekday and weekend shifts.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
Desirable:
- Basic knowledge of Council operations.
- Previous experience and working knowledge of Wastewater systems.
- Working knowledge of relevant Occupational Safety and Health requirements.
- Developing knowledge of the principles of Equal Opportunity and Diversity.
Employment is contingent upon:
- Provision of a current satisfactory National Police Clearance
- A Pre-Employment Medical Assessment including Drug & Alcohol Testing
