Events Coordinator

 

The Shire of Moora is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Events Coordinator to lead the programming and activation of the Moora Performing Arts Centre (MPAC), while delivering a diverse range of community, arts and cultural events.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about bringing communities together through memorable experiences. From securing touring performances and developing the annual theatre program, to coordinating community events and supporting major festivals, you'll play a key role in shaping Moora's cultural calendar.

Duties include:

  • Develop and coordinate the annual performance and entertainment program for the Moora Performing Arts Centre.
  • Plan and deliver community, arts and cultural events from concept through to evaluation.
  • Coordinate event logistics including contractors, venue operations, budgets, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Liaise with artists, touring companies, agents and performers to secure quality entertainment.
  • Support the delivery of major Shire events and festivals.
  • Build strong relationships with community groups, schools, businesses, sponsors and funding partners.
  • Contribute to grant applications, sponsorship opportunities and post-event reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with the Community Development team to create vibrant experiences that strengthen community connection.

This position includes attendance at events outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, with flexible working arrangements and time in lieu provided in accordance with Shire policies.

Employment is contingent upon:

  • Provision of a current satisfactory National Police Clearance
  • A Pre-Employment Medical Assessment including Drug & Alcohol Testing
