Public Statement – Council Meeting Recording 23 July 2025
The Shire of Moora advises that it was not possible for Council to make a recording of the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 23 July 2025, or for any part of the meeting to be recorded using the local government’s recording technology.
At the time of the meeting, it was understood that the recording had been successfully commenced and concluded using the standard system. However, it has since been determined that no recording was captured due to a technical failure.
No improvised or alternative recording of the meeting was made. It was not reasonably practicable for the Shire to arrange such a recording, as a number of Councillors and staff were interstate or otherwise unavailable at the time, limiting the ability to implement alternative arrangements on short notice.
Council remains committed to transparency and regrets any inconvenience this may cause to community members seeking access to the recording.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL
A Special Council Meeting of the Shire of Moora was held on Wednesday 16 July 2025 at 5:30PM in the Council Chambers, 34 Padbury Street Moora.
The purpose of the meeting:
For Council to consider The 2025-26 Rates Review Report and endorsing the proposed differential rates and minimum payments for 2025-26 Financial Year for the purpose of giving local public notice of its intention to impose differential rates, general rates and minimum payments for the 2025-26 Financial Year.
