Public Statement – Council Meeting Recording 18 June 2025

The Shire of Moora advises that it was not possible for Council to make a recording of the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 18 June 2025, or for any part of the meeting to be recorded using the local government’s recording technology.

At the time of the meeting, it was understood that the recording had been successfully commenced and concluded using the standard system. However, it has since been determined that no recording was captured due to a technical failure.

No improvised or alternative recording of the meeting was made. It was not reasonably practicable for the Shire to arrange such a recording, as a number of Councillors and staff were interstate or otherwise unavailable at the time, limiting the ability to implement alternative arrangements on short notice.

Council remains committed to transparency and regrets any inconvenience this may cause to community members seeking access to the recording.
