Works Update
Each week Council's dedicated crews carry out a huge amount of work and we thought we’d share what the team have been up to lately;
Roads Maintenance
Road maintenance has been undertaken on Namban East, Namban West & Cattady roads
Construction
Miling North Road from SLK 7.50 to 12.21, overlaying with gravel ready for cement stabilizing.
Plant
The Shire strives to maintain a modern fleet of vehicles and equipment, and maintains a Plant Replacement Program to achieve this objective. Optimum use and changeover times have been identified for plant and equipment, ensuring the Shire receives best value for money and to minimise the impact on annual budgets.
Recently the Shire has taken ownership of a new loader and prime mover.
Traffic Control
In an ongoing effort to ensure the safety of our staff while they undertake Traffic Control duties, the Shire have purchased a set of traffic lights.
