The Shire of Moora is seeking the services of a proactive, reliable and enthusiastic person to fill the position of Parks & Gardens Team Member within Council’s Infrastructure Services team.
The Parks & Gardens Team Member is responsible for providing gardening and horticultural services within the Shire of Moora, keeping our facilities and green spaces safe, maintained and presentable.
Essential
- Basic horticultural experience, with a working knowledge of gardening procedures, including safe work practices, use of herbicides, maintenance of lawns and planting of trees and shrubs.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, exercising teamwork and a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within timeframes in a changing environment.
- Satisfactory physical fitness and ability to carry out manual handling work in weather extremes.
- C Class Australian Driver’s License.
Desirable
- Qualifications in Horticulture or relevant discipline.
- Provide First Aid Certificate.
Employment is contingent upon:
- Provision of a current satisfactory National Police Clearance
- A Pre-Employment Medical Assessment including Drug & Alcohol Testing
