Wildflower Country

The Shire of Moora will take up the offer by the Wildflower Country Tourism Committee who recently approached them to consider joining their group.
Western Australia's Wildflower Country

The group which was established in 2002, incorporates the shires of Carnamah, Coorow, Mingenew, Morawa, Mullewa, Perenjori and Three Springs and has since then, created a high profile brand ‘Wildflower Country’. The established brand markets the region and provides an avenue for significant networking and sharing of information. This group recognises Moora as the ‘gateway’ to the wildflowers, especially in light of the well established and successful Western Wildflower Farm and Interpretive Centre at Coomberdale. The Western Wildflower Farm already attracts many tourists and tour buses, and has done so for more than 20 years.

Wildflower Country Tourism consider Moora joining the brand to be beneficial to all parties involved. Just a few hours from the city heading north, ‘wildflower country’ offers you the opportunity to view some of the most magnificent displays of Australian native flowering plants and a chance to experience the country way of life.
